Fall Leaf Bag Program October 15-November 30
You can deliver your leaf bags to the following locations, but remember ONLY LEAVES will be accepted. Drop off locations are: Canyon Rim Park - 3100 E 3100 S Cottonwood Ball Complex - 4400 S 1300 E Holladay Vacant Lot – 4624 S 2300 E (behind fire station)
9th Annual City of Holladay Thanksgiving Interfaith Service
The 9th Annual City of Holladay Thanksgiving Interfaith Service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 23, 2008 at the St. Vincent de Paul Parish located at 1385 Spring Lane in Holladay City. Continuing with the tradition of the Interfaith Service, the program will include music, readings, responsive prayers, presentations and a keynote speech delivered by France A. Davis, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. Also attending will be Mayor Dennis Webb who will read a proclamation by Holladay City extolling the virtues of the Interfaith Council and its purposes. The worship service will be followed by fellowship and a variety of light refreshments.

RECYCLING PROJECTS
As part of the Lexus Eco -Challenge students at Olympus Jr. High have a number of recycling and conservation programs they are promoting and raising awareness for. Prescription Medication Disposal - Old medications should never be disposed of down the toilet. To safely dispose of your old prescriptioon medication, take them to the drop off box located at the Holladay Sheriff's Substation - 4570 S 2300 E.
Recycle a Flourescent - this program encourages residents to recycle their flourescent light bulbs and educates the public on what to do in case their is a mecury spill. Visit www.mercuryrecycle.com for more information and locations.
Power Shower - Conserve water! Take a power shower. 1. Turn on the water; drench yourself head to toe 2. Turn off the water; lather up, apply soap and shampoo 3. Turn the water back on and rinse completely off 4. Get out and dry off as usual. A power shower can save half the water normally used for showering.
