Planning Commission Public Hearing – Aug. 29

August 16, 2017

The Holladay City Planning Commission will hold apublic hearing on Tuesday, August 29 at 7:00pm. The purpose of the hearing is to consider an amendment to the Land Use and Development Regulations of the City of Holladay and a rezone request.

  • Proposed amendment  that will clarify existing tree protection standards – The purpose of this ordinance is to responsibly manage and protect the City’s mature tree canopy.  The proposed tree protection ordinance would require the submittal of a “tree protection/replacement  plan” for any development activity on all private property that would require the removal of all, or part of the existing tree canopy.   Development activity includes those changes that require a building, grading, or other development permit such as a new home, a non-residential  site plan approval or the subdivision of land for the purpose of redevelopment.  This proposal does not affect those ordinary landscaping measures that require the removal of individual trees on developed lots, regardless of the reason for the removal.
